Can a bit of Ignorance, Give you a bit more of Happiness?
My yellow, furry, slightly smelly friend. says hello.
The bumpiness of one camel ride was enough to bump me into pondering over life's
pressing philosophical questions. The Aristotle, cruising the desert while cruising through the cosmos.
pressing philosophical questions. The Aristotle, cruising the desert while cruising through the cosmos.
How can you be in melancholy, if you don't think?
How can you be worried, if you don't know?
How can you feel left out, if you don't know about what the others are up to?
The grass is greener on the other side, only if you look at the other side.
This sounds fairly extreme, but what I'm trying to expound here is that - Put a filter in life.
See everything, but observe what you need.
Hear everything, but listen to what you need.
It's in the race for happiness. that we run across so much unhappiness. But we need to start realizing that happiness isn't a race, it's your own journey.
Happiness is innate, no one has ever taken it from you, to give it to you.
One fine sunny afternoon in the desert, we noticed a solitary camel, standing in the middle of nowhere. The camel was chewing its cud, like we humans chew our paan. I wish I could give one slap and ask that camel "What's poppin bro ?"
It's just standing there and chewing. All alone. Doesn't it feel lonely? Doesn't it feel like fighting with the other camels, over who gets which bush?
While I stared into her eyes, trying to get my answers.
( I am assuming the camel is female, suiting my preferences :),
I just couldn't see anything.
It just looked at me with its poker face. She's not even reciprocating my love, but that isn't important anyway.
There wasn't any worry or sadness. The camel was literally doing 1 task, chewing its cud.
When it precisely struck. When was the last time, we lived in the moment? Most of the tension we take upon ourselves, is because we are preparing for a problem that is yet to be realized.
The tension is not because we are planning for the problem itself, it's because we are afraid of the consequences if the plan fails.
The 'What if..' question, is a the query of demise.
It is time to be the camel. To not be afraid, to face the harsh desert of life all alone.
Most importantly, While chewing the cud, only chew the cud.

Wow, it's one good read and the line "we're preparing for a problem that's yet to be realized" , damn, that strikes different altogether. Keep writing!
