The humongous sign board makes this place quite hard to miss. Started by an ex servicemen to empower women, '99 km Coffee Magic ' never fails to stop motorists and turn heads. We were going to Chennai to completmy brother's college admission procedures. We travelled by car which was a 8-10 hour drive depending on traffic. Sadly, the counselling got cancelled due to Cyclone Nivar. We happened to make a stop at this delightful shop on our return back to Coimbatore. There are multiple stalls selling antique items (toys, decorative articles etc). The store also provides RO filtered water and traditional herbal drinks at no cost. Ayurvedic reusable masks are available for sale. The focus is on our ethnicity and tradition ; From the way water is stored in mud pots and food is served on banana leaves to the traditional Indian toys, medicinal drinks and utensils displayed. All this instils a sense of pride and nostalgia. To not ape the west, but to fuse the best of both the world...
